Palm Oil Watch International is an independent platform of organisations and individuals who cooperate in order to reduce an excessive global consumption of palm oil. Palm oil industry is an example in which we display the senseless devastation of nature, natural resources, extinction of species for the purpose of short-sighted gain of particular groups of people.
The Kukang Rescue Program
Aim of The Kukang Rescue Program led by Czechs in cooperation with Indonesians is combating illegal wildlife trade and conservation of greater slow lorises in North Sumatra, Indonesia. The program cooperates with local government agencies and operates a rescue and rehabilitation centre for confiscated slow lorises. Furthermore, the program focuses on education, awareness-raising, community engagement activities and capacity building.
